On the basis of Section 42 of the Local Elections Act for the State of Saxony-Anhalt (KWG LSA) in conjunction with Section 69 (6) of the Local Elections Code for the State of Saxony-Anhalt (KWO LSA), the district returning officer Dr Marcus Waselewski has announced the final result of the election of the district administrator of the Börde district on 16 March 2025:

Number of eligible voters: 142,877
Number of voters: 50.288 (35.20 %)
Voter turnout: 35.2 %
Number of invalid votes: 594
Number of valid votes: 49.694 (98,82 %)
The results of the candidates:
Of the valid votes, the candidates received as follows:
Bierwirth, Erik: 9,272 votes (18.66 %)
Prof Dr Lüderitz, Volker: 9,389 votes (18.89 %)
Stichnoth, Martin: 31,033 votes (62.45 %)
As a result of the election on 16 March 2025, the district election committee determined at its meeting on 19 March 2025 that Mr Martin Stichnoth had received more than half of the valid votes cast with 31,033 votes and was therefore elected District Administrator of the Börde district .
The official duties of the district administrator:
The district administrator heads the district administration. He prepares and implements the resolutions of the district council and the committees. As the chief administrative officer, the district administrator is responsible for the proper fulfilment of tasks and the orderly running of the administration. He is responsible for the day-to-day administration and represents the district externally.
Objection
In accordance with Section 50 of the Saxony-Anhalt Local Elections Act (KWG LSA), any person entitled to vote in the electoral area may object to the validity of the election. The objection to the election must be submitted in writing or recorded within two weeks of the announcement of the election result, stating the reasons. The objection is to be addressed to:
