The design of the Landschaftsparks Althaldensleben-Hundisburg (Althaldensleben-Hundisburg Landscape Park) began in the early 19th century. Along with the industrial estates also built in Althaldensleben and Hundisburg, it became a focal point for important personalities of the time, known throughout Germany. After 1945, the approximately 100-hectare ensemble was no longer maintained; it was partially misappropriated. With interruptions, the park has been reconstructed since the end of the 1970s. In 2004, it became part of the Saxony-Anhalt Garden Dreams project. The park is considered the third largest of its kind in Saxony-Anhalt and is one of the most important park ensembles in Germany due to the inclusion of the gardens of the former Althaldensleben monastery and the baroque park of Hundisburg.
