District Administrator Martin Stichnoth is currently getting an idea of the situation on site in the staff room of the Börde district disaster control centre.
There are currently 52 emergency services from the Börde district in direct action, including the Wanzleben fire brigade, the Federal Agency for Technical Relief, the emergency chaplaincy, treatment centre 50 and the specialist medical service. A further 79 emergency services are on standby.
Together with the district administrator on site at the operations control centre, the head of office Jens Sips, the head of department Daniel Kraft, district fire chief Matthias Schumann, the medical director of the rescue service Katrin Baier and the disaster control officers Mario Bernsdorf and Thomas Brzezinski are working flat out to coordinate the situation. The district control centre was increased to 4 additional dispatchers in order to be able to respond to the situation in the best possible way.
