Among other things, there was a "soccer friendly" of the delegation from Singapore against active people of Lebenshilfe Ostfalen. In the afternoon we went to the border monument in Hötensleben to get to know a piece of German history.
Also on day two everybody has a lot of fun. Everything is going according to plan. Katja Klommhaus, the district's equal opportunity commissioner, holds all the organizational threads in her hands, together with the partners from Helmstedt.
The delegation from Singapore landed in Berlin on June 12, 2023. They were then transferred by bus to their accommodation in Barleben. For four days, the athletes and their escorts will be in the region to settle in before heading to Berlin on June 15 for the Special Olympics 2023 (June 17-23, 2023). District Administrator Martin Stichnoth is pleased that everything is going like "clockwork" as planned. "I wish all participants in our Host Town program continued fun and the best success later in Berlin. We want to bring the inclusive idea broadly into society. And all this not only during the Host Town Program to the Special Olympics 2023, but permanently and sustainably."
