Electoral assistants wanted for the appointment of the postal ballot boards

All citizens who have reached the age of 18 on 23 February 2025 (expected date of the early Bundestag election) and have reached the age of 16 on 16 March 2025 / 30 March 2025 (possible run-off election) can declare their willingness to participate.

A refreshment allowance is paid for the voluntary voluntary work.

What do polling assistants do?

  • Polling assistants support the counting of postal votes on election day at the district administration office at Bornschen Straße 2 in 39340 Haldensleben

  • No special prior knowledge is required for the tasks

Tasks on election day:

  • Admission and rejection of the ballot letters received

  • Counting and transmission of the election results

How do you become a poll worker?

  • Polling assistants for the Bundestag election must be 18 years of age or older on election day

  • Polling assistants for district council elections must be 16 years of age or older on election day

  • Polling assistants must have German citizenship

Registration procedure:

  • Register using the form (scanned and completed by email or return by post)

  • Scheduling by the district electoral office

  • Receipt of the letter of appointment
