Handover of final certificates for volunteer carers in Haldensleben

Volunteer carers have successfully completed the training course organised by the Oschersleben e.V. carers' association.

Around 60 per cent of all guardianships in Germany are carried out on a voluntary basis. There are also around 800 voluntary carers in the Börde district. In order to strengthen volunteer work in the Börde district, the Betreuungsverein Oschersleben e.V. is organising training courses for volunteer carers in cooperation with the care office of the Börde district.
As voluntary work requires a high degree of personal commitment, social competence and legal expertise, the training participants are qualified by the care associations and extensively prepared for the management of voluntary legal care.
The training of voluntary carers is carried out according to the "Hessian Curriculum". In 10 modules, the training participants are taught, among other things, the legal basis of care, the rights and duties of a carer, how to deal with various illnesses and basic qualifications on both medical and psychosocial topics.
At the final event of the training course in Haldensleben, District Administrator Martin Stichnoth presented the participants with their certificates of participation and thanked the volunteer carers for their commitment and the time they invest in their voluntary work.
Furthermore, District Administrator Martin Stichnoth emphasised the work of the Oschersleben e.V. care association: in addition to training courses for volunteer carers, the association provides information on care orders as well as precautionary and patient powers of attorney.
