The Working Group "Übergangsgestaltung" met on June 26, 2023 at the district office in Haldensleben to celebrate the publication of the comprehensive brochure "Transition Kita Grundschule". This brochure was the result of intensive collaboration among the WG members, who had previously collected and discussed numerous ideas and concepts for the transition from daycare to elementary school.
The Transition Design Working Group met on June 26, 2023, at the district office in Haldensleben to celebrate the publication of the comprehensive brochure "Transition Kita Grundschule." This brochure resulted from an intensive collaboration of the WG members, who had previously collected and discussed numerous ideas and concepts for the transition from daycare to elementary school.
The brochure offers valuable support for professionals in daycare centers, schools and after-school care centers who want to shape the transition from daycare to elementary school. It contains guiding principles from the perspective of daycare centers, schools and after-school care centers, a possible flow chart for transition design, good practice examples and practical recommendations for action.
The working group was founded on the basis of a comprehensive survey on the status of transition management in the Börde district in the summer of 2020. The results of this survey led to the establishment of the working group in the 2021/2022 school year by the institution providers and the administration. The members of the working group, consisting of representatives from daycare centers, elementary schools, after-school care centers, facility providers, school social work, the state education authority, the district administration and the Competence Center for Early Education at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, dealt with various perspectives of transition management and developed practice-oriented recommendations for action.
In order to continue to support the ongoing professional exchange and cooperation between the institutions for the successful accompaniment of children and their parents, the AG Übergang will continue its work in the coming school year 2023/2024.
The official handover of the brochure took place on 06.07. in the Elbe-Heide association in Rogätz. Present were Mr. Schmette, mayor of the municipality, Mrs. Schröder, head of the primary school in Rogätz, Mrs. Mark-Richmann, head of the day care center in Rogätz as well as Mrs. Hecht, komm. Dezernentin 2 and Mrs. Pennekamp, project employee education municipality. The brochure is now being distributed to the communities of the Börde district and from there to the daycare centers and elementary schools. It serves as a comprehensive guide for a successful transition of children from daycare to school.
