New prevention postcard "Share everything?" - AG Gewaltprävention Börde raises awareness of online safety

The Börde district's violence prevention working group is launching a new prevention initiative and presenting the "Share everything?" postcard series. The aim is to sensitise children and young people to safe behaviour on social media and to draw attention to the risks of careless posting. The postcards are now available throughout the district in three different designs and formats.

The motifs on the postcards were created as part of a design competition launched by the Violence Prevention Working Group in 2024. Pupils in the district were invited to submit creative designs in order to actively contribute to prevention themselves.

A QR code on each card leads to helpful information: In addition to tips on how to use social media responsibly, there are numerous offers of help and contact points that offer support for problems such as cyberbullying.

Despite the increased use of digital media by children and young people, especially after the coronavirus crisis, there are still major gaps in knowledge in the areas of online safety, data protection and privacy. The intensive use of social media poses new challenges for media literacy, which is why prevention measures are more important than ever.

The new prevention postcards are aimed specifically at children and young people and are available in public institutions and from help and advice centres in the Börde district.
