The Börde district can not only be tasted, but also experienced. As part of the Elbe-Börde-Heide Regional Day, the entire region presented itself for the tenth time at the Green Week. In addition to all kinds of culinary delights, visitors were also introduced to tourist highlights and worthwhile excursion destinations in the Börde district.
District Administrator Martin Stichnoth opened the Regional Day at 11 a.m. and wished visitors lots of fun tasting and experiencing in front of the stage and at the stands: "The district of Börde will surprise you! At today's Regional Day, we are showcasing our diverse agricultural products and culinary traditions. We invite all visitors to discover our region and get to know the quality of our products and the beauty of our landscape."
An entertaining stage program with regional stars followed, giving the public a variety of opportunities to experience the Börde district in all its facets.
Between the cultural program items, interviews and discussions were held on stage with various exhibitors. The program was moderated in the usual manner by Stefan Timm-Zock.
The show bakery Denni Nitzschke from Calvörde, a bakery rich in tradition, also impressed visitors with a special kind of taste test and was declared a master baker on January 21. The company is characterized by traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail. To mark the 10th anniversary of the Börde district, the master baker surprised the district administrator with a Baumkuchen cake, which caused quite a stir. There was a huge rush when Martin Stichnoth handed out the cake to visitors to the trade fair.
Over 100 exhibitors, including Motorsport Arena Oschersleben and Hövelmann Logistik GmbH & Co. KG from Hermsdorf, can be found at the joint stand in Saxony-Anhalt Hall 23b until 28.01.2024. Companies from the Börde district, such as Colbitzer Brauerei and Braune's, will also be exhibiting their own products at the Green Week. The products of other direct marketers from the region can also be tasted.
The concept for the Elbe-Börde-Heide Regional Day, at which the Börde played a leading role, was developed in close cooperation with Agrarmarketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt mbH.
