There are well over 60,000 trees along the district roads in the Börde district, which are maintained by the Börde District Office for Road Construction and Maintenance. In recent years alone, around 4,000 trees have been replanted throughout the district.
The office's employees not only water the trees when the weather is suitable, but also take care of pruning. Due to the extensive maintenance work, they receive regular training in the correct pruning techniques and must also take species protection into account when carrying out tree care work.
The training course held on November 16 and 17 was conducted by horticultural engineer Axel Jordan, who provided the employees with helpful information and practical tips for optimal tree care.
