Patient advocate
Being affected by a mental illness or addiction often poses major challenges for those affected, relatives, friends and the wider social environment. It is not always easy to get the right help, to know the right steps and contacts and to take concrete steps. Conflicts with third parties can also arise. The voluntary position of patient advocate was set up to provide support here.
The voluntary patient advocate has been active since August 2023. Her aim is to protect the rights and interests of people with a mental illness (including addictions) and to support them in independently safeguarding their interests and returning to work and society.
It goes without saying that the counsellor is bound to confidentiality.
Medical or legal counselling is not possible.
When? Every first Wednesday of the month from 15:00.
Where? Landratsamt, Bornsche Straße 2 in 39340 Haldensleben, Room E2-144.0
Please make an appointment with the patient advocate in advance.
