Information for the application for a Non-medical practitioner license
The Office for Health and Consumer Protection is responsible for granting a Non-medical practitioner license and monitoring the professional practice of Non-medical practitioner. The legal basis for the application for a Non-medical practitioner license are the "Guidelines for the procedure for granting a license under the Heilpraktikergesetz", (RdErl. of the MS from 23.7.2013 - 22-41021/1). This describes the review procedures for the various non-medical practitioners in Saxony-Anhalt (general non-medical practitioner (HP), HP limited to the field of psychotherapy, physiotherapy and podiatry). Under certain conditions, there is also the possibility of recognition on file.
The Office for Health and Consumer Protection, as the lower health authority, is responsible for receiving and checking the application documents, as well as reporting the names of the participants taking part in the verification procedure to the State Administration Office in Halle. The State Administration Office, as the upper health authority, organizes the review procedures and uses a commission of experts with members from the relevant disciplines. When submitting the application, an advance payment of at least 300.00 euros must be made and proven in accordance with § 7 Para. 2 Sentence 1 of the Administrative Costs Act of the State of Saxony-Anhalt (VwKostG LSA).
