Driver's license matters

For the completion of driver's license matters, make an online appointment. For the current day, additional appointments will be made available from 7:00 a.m., depending on capacity.

For questions regarding the reissuance of a driver's license due to intoxicating substances or due to exceeding the number of points in the central driver's license register (KBA) as well as driving instructor and driving school matters, please contact the e-mail: fahrerlaubnis@landkreis-boerde.de.

Mandatory exchange for driving license holders (paper driving license in EU card format)

For holders of a paper driving license issued before 31.12.1998, the year of birth of the holder is decisive. For persons in possession of a "card driver's license", the date of issue is relevant for the prescribed exchange period.

An overview of the exchange periods:

Year of birth / holders of paper driver's licenses / date of issue until 31.12.1998

Year of issue / holders of card driver's licenses / date of issue as of 01.01.1999

For a fee of 5.10 euros, the completed driver's license will also be sent home.
