Transition working group
The starting point for the transition working group was a survey on the status of transition management in the Börde district in the summer of 2020. In the course of the presentation of the results within the administration and to the institutions, it was decided to establish a working group on transition management. With this body, the Börde district would like to promote the exchange of expertise and cooperation between professionals from daycare centers and elementary schools to accompany children and parents and support the institutions in strengthening their mutual cooperation on transition management.

The members of the working group are dealing with the different perspectives of transition management. In the course of numerous discussion rounds, the ideas and concepts of transition management were collected, discussed and the most important results were summarized in the brochure "Transition from daycare to elementary school". This brochure contains important guiding principles of transition from the perspective of daycare centers, elementary schools and after-school care centers, a possible transition plan, good practice examples and practical recommendations for action. The brochure is intended to provide additional support for professionals in the facilities in shaping the transition from daycare to elementary school. The WG will continue its work in the coming school year 2023/2024 in order to support the exchange of expertise in the facilities and the cooperation between the daycare center and the elementary school to accompany the children and their parents as needed.
