Dual Study Program - Bachelor of Arts - "Public Administration"
The district of Börde intends to offer the dual study program "Public Administration" for the winter semester 2023 (start 01.09.2023). The dual study program lasts 3 ½ years (7 semesters) and is divided into theoretical and practice-oriented phases. The practical phases are primarily completed in the offices of the Börde district as well as in a state authority. The theoretical part of the studies takes place at the Harz University of Applied Sciences - Halberstadt Campus.
Study contents:
1st to 3rd semester
Contents: Fundamentals of law and economics; fundamentals of business accounting; social sciences; private law; regulatory and planning law; local government and economics; human resources; financial management; marketing; psychology; English
4th semester
- 13 weeks of municipal internship in county government,
- 13 weeks state internship,
- Practical seminar
5th and 6th semester
Possible specializations in the 5th and 6th semesters are:
- Regulatory law Cultural and media law Municipal constitutional law Construction and environmental administration
7th semester
- 13 weeks internship in the district administration
- Bachelor seminar;
- Bachelor thesis;
- Bachelor colloquium
Our expectations for your qualification:

A salary based on the collective bargaining provisions of the TVAöD (VKA). A varied organization of the practical phases in the district administration as well as a transfer to an employment relationship after successful completion. Good supervision and support during the study period.
Internship locations: Haldensleben and Oschersleben
For the district of Börde, the compatibility of work and family is an important concern. Flexible working hours and part-time models are generally possible.
